ABOUT US

We’re Jake and Emma and we’re really grateful you’re here!

We’ve been married for (almost) 16 years and growing our family through adoption is something that’s been written on our hearts for a long time!

We love going on roadtrips to the Oregon coast, cozying up with popcorn and candy for a movie night, eating jam-drenched scones in Ireland, fixing fences on the farm (just about a daily thing, those pigs are determined!), or paddle-boarding on the nearby lake — we love spending time together and hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better!

EMMA

Hi, I’m Emma! I’m a stay-at-home mom and feel incredibly lucky to spend my days with our kids; playing, learning, laughing, and spending time together. I’ve always loved creating things, whether it’s planning a birthday party, designing cozy spaces in our home, or pulling out the fabric bin for a spontaneous sewing session.

Homeschooling has become one of my greatest joys. I love watching our kids discover new things and grow in confidence. I especially love reading with and learning alongside them.

I’ve recently fallen in love with sewing! There’s something so exciting about choosing which floral and gingham fabrics look best together. (My two favorite prints!) That and hand-quilting have become a special creative outlet for me. I love working to the steady hum of a sewing machine.

I also love going on walks in the mountains right outside our front door. The scenery that surrounds our house is breathtaking and there always seems to be a slight breeze, which is my favorite.

Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of adopting. It’s something that’s been close to my heart for as long as I can remember. I know this is a deeply personal and emotional journey, and I feel honored, truly honored, that you’d take the time to consider our family. Thank you for letting me share a piece of who I am with you.

JAKE

Hi, I’m Jake! I work in the entertainment industry and currently produce a comedy TV show called Studio C, which means there’s usually a lot of laughter around our house. When I’m not on set, you’ll usually find me outside with my family. I love camping, hiking, biking, and just about any excuse to explore the outdoors with the people I love most.

I’m also a huge dog person (maybe too much?), and lately I’ve started getting into horseback riding. I’m definitely still learning, but there’s something special about saddling up and riding across our little piece of land—it’s become a peaceful and meaningful part of my life.

Family means everything to me. I do everything I can to protect our time together and make the most of the moments we share. I’m incredibly excited to grow our family in this way. The love I have for our kids runs deep, and I can’t wait to share that same love with a child through adoption.
